The World Cup reigning champions Germany have dropped the Premier League title winner Leroy Sane from its squad to Russia.but Manuel Neuer is included after injury issues.
The German team that included the injured Manuel Neuer, cut off Sane from the 23 leaving him in a painful mood.
After an impressive season at Manchester City which saw the 22-year-old collect a Premier League and Carabao Cup double, he returns to be ditched by his country team. Sane scored 14goals during the Premier league, had 17 goal assists in both the Premier English League and Champions League competition.
Others who also didn’t make it to the final 23 list are the likes of Julian Draxler and Sebastian Rudy, Bayer Leverkusen duo Bernd Leno and Jonathan also miss out, as does Freiburg striker Nils Petersen.
Star players such as Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil was among those to receive good news, though, Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger, Sane’s team-mate at City, Ilkay Gundogan, Manchester United and Real Madrid target Timo Werner of RB Leipzigare are all included as favorite partakers in the Champion’s list.
Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer gets the nod despite his recent injury struggles, while Borussia Dortmund forward Marco Reus will get the chance to put his previous fitness issues behind him – with the 29-year-old having missed out on a successful World Cup campaign in 2014.
Germany first match at the World cup would be against Mexico on June 17, before they face Sweden and South Korea in their other Group F fixtures.
